British Camp and The Pig War

Today we went to the British camp, that the British used during The Pig War. The Pig War was almost a war. In 1859, A British man named Charles Griffin owned prized pig. That pig went to Lyam Cutlers farm and ate his potatoes, and Lyam warned Charles to keep the pig out of hie farm. A few weeks after that, the pig went back to Lyam's farm and started to eat the potatoes again. Lyam found the pig and shot him because he got mad. Charles found out that his amazing pig was killed and got mad. Charles wanted Lyam in jail for what he did.

A few months later the United States sent over some troops to "protect" Lyam from Charles. When the British learned that the United States sent there military they decided to send over there military, and for 11 years both forces were in a stand off. Some German dude came in and said that the land was rightfully owned by the United States, and both sides left San Juan forever. Not one shot was fired the whole time.
